The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) conducts the State Services (Preliminary & Mains) Examination for the recruitment of eligible candidates on Naib Tahsildar, Kaksh Adhikaaree, Tahsildar, Assistant Sales Commissioner, Assistant Director & Other posts.

Major Functions

Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is a Constitutional Body established Under Article 315 of Constitution of India which provides a smooth and efficient functioning of the Government of Maharashtra (GoM) by providing suitable candidates for various Government posts and advise them on various service matters like formulation of Recruitment Rules (RR), advise on promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions etc. As per Article 320 of the Constitution of India, MPSC has been entrusted with the following major functions:-

What is Eligibility Criteria of MPSC??

Nationality:

Candidate must be the citizen of India and domiciled in the State of Maharashtra.

 

Age limit:

General: 19 to 38 years.

O.B.C: 41 years

SC/ST/NT: 45 years

 

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University; however, the candidate with a law degree may be given preference.

Students in their final year of graduation can also appear for the MPSC exam.

 

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS ALLOWED

There is no Limit; a candidate can appear any number of times.
